Silent Book Club Meeting #2 - Rescheduled

Back by popular demand after our very successful 1st meeting! 

We have received your feedback and will be tweaking a few things. If you have not taken our survey yet, please do so here. Your thoughts and concerns will help shape the future of the club, whether you plan to come once a month or once a week!

We will meet at the Bocce Courts (near the welcome center north of the lake). As a group, we will scope out a nice spot to get comfy for introductions followed by one hour (60 minutes) of silent reading. If you choose to stay, we will follow our silent reading with a social hour to chat and get to know each other! 

Notes/Changes from our first meeting:

Time

We have changed the meeting start time to 5:30 pm to 1) hopefully miss some of the afternoon showers and 2) allow for cooler weather. The meeting should still be done well before sunset so commuters can be home before dark. 

Length

Because of the survey results, silent reading has been extended to a full 60 minutes! 

Booze

If you bring alcohol, try to use an inconspicuous container. We did not have any issues last time but local ordinances seem to discourage open drinks. 

Dogs

Are encouraged. 

RAIN CONTINGENCY

I plan on getting to the event space 30 minutes prior to the meeting start time to scope out the space. If inclement weather occurs you will receive email notification of the canceled event, so please use a current email in your RSVP. IF you do not get a cancellation notice you can assume our meeting is still on (or just check our Instagram @ATLsilentbookclub)!
